اَلطَّلَاقُ مَرَّتٰنِ۪ فَاِمۡسَاکٌۢ بِمَعۡرُوۡفٍ اَوۡ تَسۡرِیۡحٌۢ بِاِحۡسَانٍ ؕ وَ لَا یَحِلُّ لَکُمۡ اَنۡ تَاۡخُذُوۡا مِمَّاۤ اٰتَیۡتُمُوۡهُنَّ شَیۡئًا اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ یَّخَافَاۤ اَلَّا یُقِیۡمَا حُدُوۡدَ اللّٰهِ ؕ فَاِنۡ خِفۡتُمۡ اَلَّا یُقِیۡمَا حُدُوۡدَ اللّٰهِ ۙ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَیۡهِمَا فِیۡمَا افۡتَدَتۡ بِهٖ ؕ تِلۡکَ حُدُوۡدُ اللّٰهِ فَلَا تَعۡتَدُوۡهَا ۚ وَ مَنۡ یَّتَعَدَّ حُدُوۡدَ اللّٰهِ فَاُولٰٓئِکَ هُمُ الظّٰلِمُوۡنَ

Divorce is twice. Then, either keep [her] in an acceptable manner or release [her] with good treatment. And it is not lawful for you to take anything of what you have given them unless both fear that they will not be able to keep [within] the limits of Allah. But if you fear that they will not keep [within] the limits of Allah, then there is no blame upon either of them concerning that by which she ransoms herself. These are the limits of Allah, so do not transgress them. And whoever transgresses the limits of Allah - it is those who are the wrongdoers.

তালাক দু’বার। অতঃপর (স্ত্রীকে) হয় বিধিমত রেখে দেওয়া, নতুবা সদয়ভাবে মুক্ত করে দেওয়া। আর তোমরা তোমাদের স্ত্রীদেরকে যা প্রদান করেছ তা থেকে কোন কিছু গ্রহণ করা তোমাদের পক্ষে হালাল নয়। অবশ্য যদি তাদের উভয়ের আশংকা হয় যে, তারা আল্লাহ্‌র সীমারেখা রক্ষা করে চলতে পারবে না, তারপর যদি তোমরা আশংকা কর যে, তারা আল্লাহর সীমারেখা রক্ষা করে চলতে পারবে না, তবে স্ত্রী কোন কিছুর বিনিময়ে নিস্কৃতি পেতে চাইলে তাতে তাদের কারো কোন অপরাধ নেই। এ সব আল্লাহর সীমারেখা সুতরাং তোমরা এর লংঘন করো না। আর যারা আল্লাহর সীমারেখা লংঘন করে তারাই যালিম।

সূরা আল বাকারা : ২:২২৯

وَ الۡمُطَلَّقٰتُ یَتَرَبَّصۡنَ بِاَنۡفُسِهِنَّ ثَلٰثَۃَ قُرُوۡٓءٍ ؕ وَ لَا یَحِلُّ لَهُنَّ اَنۡ یَّکۡتُمۡنَ مَا خَلَقَ اللّٰهُ فِیۡۤ اَرۡحَامِهِنَّ اِنۡ کُنَّ یُؤۡمِنَّ بِاللّٰهِ وَ الۡیَوۡمِ الۡاٰخِرِ ؕ وَ بُعُوۡلَتُهُنَّ اَحَقُّ بِرَدِّهِنَّ فِیۡ ذٰلِکَ اِنۡ اَرَادُوۡۤا اِصۡلَاحًا ؕ وَ لَهُنَّ مِثۡلُ الَّذِیۡ عَلَیۡهِنَّ بِالۡمَعۡرُوۡفِ ۪ وَ لِلرِّجَالِ عَلَیۡهِنَّ دَرَجَۃٌ ؕ وَ اللّٰهُ عَزِیۡزٌ حَکِیۡمٌ

Divorced women remain in waiting for three periods, and it is not lawful for them to conceal what Allah has created in their wombs if they believe in Allah and the Last Day. And their husbands have more right to take them back in this [period] if they want reconciliation. And due to the wives is similar to what is expected of them, according to what is reasonable. But the men have a degree over them [in responsibility and authority]. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.

তালাকপ্রাপ্তা (বর্জিতা) নারীগণ তিন মাসিকস্রাব কাল প্রতীক্ষায় থাকবে। (অর্থাৎ বিবাহ করা থেকে বিরত থাকবে।) তারা আল্লাহ ও পরকালে বিশ্বাসী হলে তাদের গর্ভাশয়ে আল্লাহ যা সৃষ্টি করেছেন তা গোপন করা তাদের পক্ষে বৈধ নয়। আর এই সময়ের মধ্যে যদি তারা সন্ধি কামনা করে, তাহলে তাদের স্বামীগণই তাদেরকে পুনঃগ্রহণে অধিক হকদার। নারীদের তেমনি ন্যায়-সঙ্গত অধিকার আছে যেমন আছে তাদের উপর পুরুষদের। কিন্তু নারীদের উপর পুরুষদের মর্যাদা আছে। আর আল্লাহ মহাপরাক্রমশালী, প্রজ্ঞাময়।

সূরা আল বাকারা : ২:২২৮

فَاِنۡ طَلَّقَهَا فَلَا تَحِلُّ لَهٗ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدُ حَتّٰی تَنۡکِحَ زَوۡجًا غَیۡرَهٗ ؕ فَاِنۡ طَلَّقَهَا فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَیۡهِمَاۤ اَنۡ یَّتَرَاجَعَاۤ اِنۡ ظَنَّاۤ اَنۡ یُّقِیۡمَا حُدُوۡدَ اللّٰهِ ؕ وَ تِلۡکَ حُدُوۡدُ اللّٰهِ یُبَیِّنُهَا لِقَوۡمٍ یَّعۡلَمُوۡنَ

And if he has divorced her [for the third time], then she is not lawful to him afterward until [after] she marries a husband other than him. And if the latter husband divorces her [or dies], there is no blame upon the woman and her former husband for returning to each other if they think that they can keep [within] the limits of Allah. These are the limits of Allah, which He makes clear to a people who know.

অতএব যদি সে তাকে তালাক দেয় তাহলে সে পুরুষের জন্য হালাল হবে না যতক্ষণ পর্যন্ত ভিন্ন একজন স্বামী সে গ্রহণ না করে। অতঃপর সে (স্বামী) যদি তাকে তালাক দেয়, তাহলে তাদের উভয়ের অপরাধ হবে না যে, তারা একে অপরের নিকট ফিরে আসবে, যদি দৃঢ় ধারণা রাখে যে, তারা আল্লাহর সীমারেখা কায়েম রাখতে পারবে। আর এটা আল্লাহর সীমারেখা, তিনি তা এমন সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য স্পষ্ট করে দেন, যারা জানে।
